The charities we support are those that had a direct impact on our own lives when JP3 was diagnosed with cancer. Please give all you can, even if it is just a moment of your time, to help these charities as we know first-hand just how amazing they are. On this page you'll find a brief description of each charity along with the message of thanks they gave our supporters following our first fundraiser.
Macmillan Cancer Support provide an invaluable service for people affected by cancer. The shocking reality is that one in three of us will get cancer; Macmillan not only support those diagnosed but their families and friends too, helping them deal with such a blow and pull together. They also campaign tirelessly on issues from availability of drugs on the NHS to ending hospital parking fees.
What they said:
I would like you to know how much we appreciate your decision to support Macmillan at this time. Your gift will enable us to continue to provide vital services and information to people who need help, for example through our cancer support specialists who can provide bereavement and other emotional support over the phone. Our goal is to reach and improve the lives of every person in the UK diagnosed with cancer. We want to be there for them at every stage of their cancer journey and to support their families and carers too. We rely on voluntary donations for 99% of our income and we simply couldn't do what we do without your support. On behalf of those whom we are able to help, please accept our warmest thanks.

The Beatson is the leading centre for the delivery of non-surgical cancer treatment in the west of Scotland and is the second largest Cancer Treatment Unit in the UK. The staff go to great lengths to make the experience as comfortable as possible whether you are visiting, an outpatient or having a longer stay. On his first visit, Dad likened it to "a five star hotel" and was very comfortable with his personal TV.

Accord Hospice provide very high quality medical and nursing care in their hospice as well as in homes all over Renfrewshire. On a more personal note, the staff were very understanding and accommodating to our family during our dad's last hours and we cannot thank them enough for it.
What they said:
Thank you very much for your donation to ACCORD. The hospice is heavily reliant upon donations such as yours and we are very grateful to you. This year over 700 patients will be looked after by at least one of our specialist palliative care departments and in order for this to continue we have to raise almost £2.4 million. Thank you once again, your help is much appreciated.
