Santa DASH 5k SUNDAY 4TH DECEMBER 2011 Barshaw Park
The trainers were laced up once more, the iPods were charged up with Tunes and the charity pledge drive is still ongoing! TeamJP3 ran in the 5k Santa Dash in Barshaw Park in aid of the Accord Hospice.
Our target for this event wasn't as grand as last year's since it was only half the distance and it was a somewhat spontaneous decision to enter. We set the totaliser to £75 but it has changed several times since we surpassed each target. Thank you so much for your donations and your support, it means a lot.
RESULTS
With a slight diversion in place due to black ice in the swing park, we raced around three laps of Barshaw Park. Sean came in third overall with a time of 23:14, then came Joe with 32:00, and then Lisa with 33:53 (and not in last place she was proud to proclaim).
In total we have managed to raise £344.40 for the hospice. It's a tremendous amount considering our initial target was only £75, so let me say thanks again for your overwhelming support, especially at this time of year!
